Loren Gray

Gray has been inspired by acquaintances to start her social media experience, but she actually had greater success than they did. Her mom downloaded the app only to observe her. Loren's popularity in musical.ly was able to spread across social media. Gray's YouTube videos soon began to be watched by users who were not a fan, whom then made compilations. Gray was overwhelmed by her fame However, she and her family weren't as thrilled. In fact, some were friends who turned on Gray instead of supporting her. The friends of Loren began harassing her and deleted their own accounts. Loren told in an UPROXX interview: "They wrote horrible things about me, claiming I was rude, had lip fillers, and been treated. I was albino. I was anorexic. There was a lot of talk about how they going to jump me up to the point where I was in the school's bathroom phone call my mom and telling that I was terrified." Loren's mother became concerned for Loren's mental wellbeing and decided to keep Loren's child out of the school. It was too much for her to watch her daughter suffer in school because of her peers.
